Q (Continued from 7/16/2014 meeting in cafe)

Q covered Rob's hand with his own, guiding it higher and then turning away. With his attention focused back out the window, it was hard to believe he'd said anything at all. Q was so terribly good at appearing disinterested and calm.

It was, actually, terribly impressive how Quentin pretended not to care as with that encouragement Robin slid his hand higher. Determined to get some reaction out of him, he began to very lightly massage his groin, and then leaned in and whispered into his ear, "I'm going to make you forget your own name. More than once. I'd start now if this were a longer trip."

Robin was only a small bit annoyed by the interruption, and it mostly dissipated when the waiter came in with both the plate of small cups of whiskey, and a plate of prawns.

He helped himself during Quentin's absence.

Q wasn't gone too long, his irritated tone not going unnoticed by the underling who'd had the misfortune of taking his call.

He was frowning when he returned though, the dark circles under his eyes a bit more visible now somehow.

"I apologize. Minor crises at work. I believe it's being taken care of though," he said as he took one of the whiskey's and held it up in toast.

Robin toasted him with a little smile. He didn't ask about work. It didn't go unnoticed how vague Quentin was with the details of what he did. But regardless of the situation, Robin's intention was to make him loosen up, and talking about work wasn't going to help with that.

"To enjoying the evening," he said pleasantly.

"Yes, to enjoying the evening," Q agreed, knocking his drink back in one go.

Robin smirked as he watched him. "That's a twelve year old Yamazaki," he said, and picked up a grilled prawn which was attached to a stick.

"It's good. A bit rough mind... Though really, Rob. It you want me drunk, a bottle of cheep wine would do the trick," he laughed.

Robin looked insulted. As if he would even allow cheap wine in his presence.

"I want you to enjoy yourself," he said, and pushed one of the glasses towards him. "And one should enjoy a twenty-one year-old Hibiki."

"I think you mistake me for someone with class," Q laughed, but he took the drink anyway.

"Is this somewhere you come often?" he asked curiously.

"I do," Robin said truthfully. He didn't really cook, so he went to restaurants frequently, sometimes with company and sometimes alone. And he really did enjoy the ambiance of this place, and the whiskey.

The waiter arrived then and asked if they were ready to order food, and Robin rattled off an order: vegetable curry, seared scallops, coconut rice, blistered beans in oyster sauce.

Sitting silently, Q let Rob order and didn't speak until they were alone again.

"So, where will we go after dinner then? Yours, mine, somewhere new?" Q asked.

Robin knocked back the rest of the glass he'd taken for himself, and then pushed his chair back, standing up and walking over to stand behind Quentin. He put his hands on his shoulders and leaned down to murmur in his ear, "Mine. I thought maybe I'd show you my toy chest."

Q smiled faintly, sipping his own drink.

"I'm sure it's twice as interesting as mine," he replied, turning his head slightly to glance at Rob.

"And what's in your toy chest, kitten?" Robin purred, and kissed his neck.

[quartermaster_q]

"I'm not telling. You'll just have to come over and look one day," Q replied, polishing off his drink and taking a prawn.

"You know what I have in mine?" Robin asked, and slid a hand down to Quentin's lap, fingers trailing over his groin. "Everything."

Q bit his lip to silence himself, though a soft sound did escape his lips.

"Well, now I'm excited for dessert."

[goodfellow]

"They have these really amazing sweet potato donuts here," Robin teased, finding the outline of Quentin's cock with his fingers. "Or maybe we'll just wait until we get to my place. I'll let you have me for dessert."

Q gasped, then allowed himself a soft moan.

"Lucky me," he said softly.

"Or maybe I'll have you for dessert." Robin leaned down again and licked a line across his throat. "Maybe I'll handcuff you to my bed and taste every inch of your body."

[quartermaster_q]

"Tease," Q accused, pulling away and taking another whisky. "Enough of that. I'll not make it through dinner at this rate."

Robin grinned and straightened up, dropping a brief kiss to the top of his head and then taking another glass himself on his way back to his seat. He looked pleased with himself as he sat back down and drank.

Casually adjusting himself, Q sipped his drink and studied Rob from across the table.

Truth be told, he still didn't know much about the man. He'd looked him up and not found anything terribly suspicious or worrying, but he was a bit of a mystery. Enough so that Q always had his gaurd up at least a little around the other man.

Robin watched Quentin watching him, and only smiled. He was well aware that there were things about him that probably seemed pretty incredible. He seemed to have endless money. Quentin had probably at some point heard him speak a half dozen different languages. And he could drink and drink and drink and only seem tipsy.

But humans wouldn't assign more meaning to those things than what they understood. A rich, well-educated man with a high alcohol tolerance. So Robin in general made little effort to hide what he was. All he had to remember, really, was not to remember not to tell stories that made him seem so much older than he should be.

The food arrived then, and Robin had to commend the quick service. The waiter laid out bowls and plates in front of them, and Robin grinned at Quentin. "Dig in. I hope you have a healthy appetite."

Q started to eat, picking through the food and enjoying a bit of everything. The young quartermaster so rarely paused for meals, so when he did eat, he tended to eat well. Filling himself up in case he was too busy for his next meal.

"This is lovely," he said. "I'll have to bring my co-worker here some time. He's quite a lover of fine food. He never has anything nice to say about the places I generally go to."

Robin looked pleased that Quentin was enjoying himself. As Robin ate, he helped himself to more of the whiskey as well.

"Well, I am terribly happy to save you from eating ramen by the light of your computer screen," Robin said.
