Q (Continued from 7/16/2014 meeting in cafe)

Q covered Rob's hand with his own, guiding it higher and then turning away. With his attention focused back out the window, it was hard to believe he'd said anything at all. Q was so terribly good at appearing disinterested and calm.

It was, actually, terribly impressive how Quentin pretended not to care as with that encouragement Robin slid his hand higher. Determined to get some reaction out of him, he began to very lightly massage his groin, and then leaned in and whispered into his ear, "I'm going to make you forget your own name. More than once. I'd start now if this were a longer trip."

Q bit his lip to silence himself, though a soft sound did escape his lips.

"Well, now I'm excited for dessert."

"They have these really amazing sweet potato donuts here," Robin teased, finding the outline of Quentin's cock with his fingers. "Or maybe we'll just wait until we get to my place. I'll let you have me for dessert."

Q gasped, then allowed himself a soft moan.

"Lucky me," he said softly.

"Or maybe I'll have you for dessert." Robin leaned down again and licked a line across his throat. "Maybe I'll handcuff you to my bed and taste every inch of your body."

"Tease," Q accused, pulling away and taking another whisky. "Enough of that. I'll not make it through dinner at this rate."

Robin grinned and straightened up, dropping a brief kiss to the top of his head and then taking another glass himself on his way back to his seat. He looked pleased with himself as he sat back down and drank.

Casually adjusting himself, Q sipped his drink and studied Rob from across the table.

Truth be told, he still didn't know much about the man. He'd looked him up and not found anything terribly suspicious or worrying, but he was a bit of a mystery. Enough so that Q always had his gaurd up at least a little around the other man.

Robin watched Quentin watching him, and only smiled. He was well aware that there were things about him that probably seemed pretty incredible. He seemed to have endless money. Quentin had probably at some point heard him speak a half dozen different languages. And he could drink and drink and drink and only seem tipsy.

But humans wouldn't assign more meaning to those things than what they understood. A rich, well-educated man with a high alcohol tolerance. So Robin in general made little effort to hide what he was. All he had to remember, really, was not to remember not to tell stories that made him seem so much older than he should be.

The food arrived then, and Robin had to commend the quick service. The waiter laid out bowls and plates in front of them, and Robin grinned at Quentin. "Dig in. I hope you have a healthy appetite."

Q started to eat, picking through the food and enjoying a bit of everything. The young quartermaster so rarely paused for meals, so when he did eat, he tended to eat well. Filling himself up in case he was too busy for his next meal.

"This is lovely," he said. "I'll have to bring my co-worker here some time. He's quite a lover of fine food. He never has anything nice to say about the places I generally go to."

Robin looked pleased that Quentin was enjoying himself. As Robin ate, he helped himself to more of the whiskey as well.

"Well, I am terribly happy to save you from eating ramen by the light of your computer screen," Robin said.

"I very rarely eat ramen," Q replied, pretending to look offended. "Fish and chips are much more enjoyable. I can just walk down the street to buy those," he laughed.

He didn't deny that he was prone to eating by his laptop though. He was very rarely away from it for very long.

Robin only chuckled at that, and when Quentin seemed to be slowing down in his eating, Robin pushed one of the glasses of whiskey to him. "Try this one. It's very smooth."

"No, no- I shouldn't," Q insisted, already feeling tipsy, and wary of being drunk. The young Quartermaster couldn't stand the thought of not being in control of himself.

There were four small glasses left on the table, so Robin said pleasantly, "There, see, one for you, three for me. Or not." He picked one up himself.

Q raised a brow, then surrendered with a sigh.

"Here's to sober living then," he quipped, knocking the drink back in one go.

Robin grinned at him in clear approval, and went to work on the rest himself. "If you bring your friend here, my favorite of the bunch is the Nikka Miyagikyo," he said.

"They've all begun to taste the same to me," Q admitted, wrinkling his nose a little. "Nice but- um... I've forgotten what I was going to say."

Oh, that was adorable. Robin smiled again, indulgently this time like one might smile at a particularly cute puppy.

He really hadn't intended on getting him drunk to loosen him up, but he figured that a bit of a head start wouldn't hurt, and Quentin would have some time to sober up a little bit before they got to his place anyway.

"That's why I'm telling you, so you can impress him with your knowledge of good Japanese spirits," Robin said with a wink.

"What makes you think I want to impress him?" Q snorted. "Nothing impresses that man anyway. Half the time he looks at me like I'm a school boy that's gotten lost on the way to the headmaster's office."

It was something he wouldn't have said while sober. A strange little slip that he might not even recall later.

A little smile quirked at Robin's lips. It sounded a bit like a crush to him, but he had the good manners not to point that out.

"Well good, then you can just impress me instead," Robin teased, and stabbed the last scallop with his fork. "What do you say, dessert to go?"

"Sounds perfect," Q nodded. "I'm ready to leave as soon as you are. I find myself quite ready to be somewhere a bit less public."

"Almost wish I'd driven," Robin said conversationally. "I'd love to have you suck my cock in a car." He knocked back the last whiskey and smiled as the waiter came in and Robin asked politely for an order of sweet potato donuts to go, and the check.

Q was just tipsy enough that he might have done it, but he was sober enough not to admit that as he took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes.

Suddenly, all he could think about was that bloody Aston Martin and the soft purr of its engine as James tore through the streets, and Q frowned to himself.

"Yes, well, you've waited this long. You can wait a while longer. I do admire a man with self control after all."

Robin only smiled at that, and waited for the waiter to return with the check, and he handed off a black credit card and signed the receipt with a flourish, leaving a generous tip. Then he picked up the small bag with the donuts and said, "Shall we?"

"Let's," Q nodded, picking up his own bag and following Rob outside.

"I'd kill for a real vacation," he admitted once they were out on the pavement. "Somewhere sunny- Spain maybe. Somewhere far from work and my stalker of an ex. Somewhere well-away from London," he mused aloud, voicing things he usually wouldn't.
