Robin had heard about Nyx's accident fairly quickly thanks to a push notification on his phone from some news app. The first thing he'd done was talk to Rain, and was glad to hear that Nyx was getting care in the fae lands... but still, he worried about him. And was glad when Rain let him know that his brother was healed up and back in the city.

So one evening he went to the bar, hoping to find him.

"Ah, hello beautiful," he said when he walked in and saw him there.

"Well, about that... That might have been part of the reason I was so out of it on Halloween. I might have encouraged him to nearly drain me dry that night," Nyx admitted. "...And I've seen him again since I got back. He's turning out to be a habit I'm not keen to quit."

Robin's expression became slightly concerned. "That may be... somewhat defeating the purpose of your sobriety, no?"

[tempting_the_fates]

"I mean... I'm not stone sober," Nyx said awkwardly. "I'm just limiting things a bit. ...I see him every week though."

[goodfellow]

"Well I'm sure you know what you're doing, my dear," said Robin. Then he smiled. "Tell me, how is the sex?"

[tempting_the_fates]

"It's brilliant," Nyx said bluntly and honestly. "Sometimes it feels like he could tear me apart, but in the most divine way. Like an offering to the gods. ...I used to be scared of vampires, we used to get told horror stories about them, but now? Well, it's very different now."

[goodfellow]

"Mmmm well perhaps maintaining a healthy fear of vampires in the general is not a bad idea," Robin said. "But I'm glad there's at least one you can trust." Robin hadn't had sex with a vampire in quite some time, but even though he found it quite pleasant, he was still very much on his guard. Robin had well honed survival instincts.

"Right. ...So why do I feel like I'm doing something wrong?" Nyx asked.

[goodfellow]

"Well, I suppose the answer to that is in whatever is making you keep the secret from the people who care about you," Robin said with a shrug.

[tempting_the_fates]

"You don't think it matters, do you," Nyx realized. "Maybe it doesn't, maybe I'm being stupid."

[goodfellow]

"I think that it only matters if it matters to you," Robin said. "But if you think that the people you care about would disapprove, then that may be something that matters to you."

[tempting_the_fates]

"I'm just being stupid," Nyx decided, shaking his head a bit.

[goodfellow]

"I just think that if it's making you feel weird, there might be a reason," Robin said. "So maybe you should share it with other people besides me. I won't tell Rain though."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Maybe," Nyx said, even though he knew he wouldn't.

[goodfellow]

"Well, just promise me you'll be careful hmm?" Robin said. "I already worried about you. Not my favorite thing to do."

[tempting_the_fates]

"I'm never careful," Nyx grinned, purring a little bit to himself. "That's part of what makes me fun, don't you think?"

[goodfellow]

"Perhaps so," Robin said with a smile. He'd come to associate the purring so much with Rain that it was almost strange to hear it from Nyx.

[tempting_the_fates]

"Enough about my problems though- I'm fine, I'm still alive. ...How have you been?" he asked, moving to make some tea as the kettle came to a boil.

[goodfellow]

“Oh I’m… same as ever,” Robin said, watching him.

[tempting_the_fates]

"Are you still spending time with my brother?" he asked, bringing over a pot of tea and two glasses.

"There's scotch, if you'd rather," he noted as he put the tray down on a table.

[goodfellow]

"I am," said Robin. "I ah, was with him when he heard you were back." Sleeping over, actually. "And tea's nice, thanks."

[tempting_the_fates]

"You're spending a lot of time together. Sounds like you're practically roommates," Nyx snorted, pouring them each a cup of tea, and adding quite a lot of sugar to his own.

[goodfellow]

"Well, he's staying with me," Robin said. "Temporarily. With the increased attention he's getting, he couldn't really be seen coming and going from a secret hidey hole in the underground."

[tempting_the_fates]

"...Really?" Nyx asked, looking a bit more shocked than he meant to.

[goodfellow]

"Really," said Robin. "I mean, there's plenty of space, and I'm at the club a lot..." Which was also why Rain's presence wasn't impacting Robin's sex life. Well, at least not in ways he didn't want it to. Because sometimes he would have just picked someone up to be less lonely, have someone to share a bed with. No need for that though. So he was having... less sex.

"So he's just in your guest room? ...Do you have a guest room?" Nyx asked. "Doesn't he melt in the sunlight? It's been a solid decade since he was out in it," he joked.
