Nyx

Robin had heard about Nyx's accident fairly quickly thanks to a push notification on his phone from some news app. The first thing he'd done was talk to Rain, and was glad to hear that Nyx was getting care in the fae lands... but still, he worried about him. And was glad when Rain let him know that his brother was healed up and back in the city.

So one evening he went to the bar, hoping to find him.

"Ah, hello beautiful," he said when he walked in and saw him there.

There was something about the raised eyebrow, the tone... "Do you actually disapprove?" Robin asked.

"I don't disapprove, I just... I mean he's my brother, I worry is all," Nyx assured him.

[goodfellow]

"You should talk to him," Robin said. "Make sure he's actually okay. That it's what he wants."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Robin, I'm not going to grill my brother on his life choices. I worry, but I trust him. And I trust you," Nyx said.

"I just thought he might need someone to talk to," Robin said.

[tempting_the_fates]

"Maybe, but I'm not going to push for it," Nyx replied honestly.

That just wasn't how their relationship worked. Rain rarely reacted well to being asked anything too personal, and it felt as though their relationship as brothers was still on the mend. The last thing he wanted to do was say the wrong thing now.

Robin nodded, even if he was a little disappointed. "Of course," he said. "I just hope ah... that he feels he can tell me if anything ever makes him uncomfortable. Also - " Pause. "I think you two are good for each other."

"Maybe, but we don't... We don't have heart to hearts or whatever, Robin. It just isn't how we are now. He's blood, and I love him, but I won't pretend we're best friends when I know we aren't," Nyx said.

"Noted," Robin said. It wasn't surprising exactly, though he did think it was a bit of a shame. He also really did worry if it was the case that Rain had no one to talk to but him.
