Robin had been elsewhere in the club when one of his employees mentioned that they'd spotting Nyx there, and Robin immediately went to find him.

Out on the dance floor, Robin slid an arm around his waist and leaned in close so he could be heard. "How nice to see you, darling."

Nyx must know what a draw he'd be. Robin certainly didn't mind paying a DJ for a full evening and not use him the whole time. And drag queens in fun costumes would be an excellent opener.

"I'm asking," Robin said. And smiled. "Wow, that was easy."

"I'll let my manager know," Nyx said, "They'll send over the paperwork. They might fuss a bit about security though, just a warning. Hex says they arrested a stalker the other week, though it sounds like it was taken care of."

Robin shrugged. "We can hire extra security for the night if needed. So tell me about your costume."

[tempting_the_fates]

"I'm going as a fairy," Nyx said sweetly, flashing a little grin. "How often do I get to take my wings out without people asking questions? I mean, other than my album cover, but no one believes those are real."

[goodfellow]

Robin chuckled. "Well, I imagine that will be a big hit. If you think it's safe."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Safe enough," Nyx grinned. "Too safe is no fun anyway."

[goodfellow]

"Why does not attitude not surprise me," Robin teased. Though he did find himself wondering what Rain would think of this.

Nyx just grinned even brighter, leaning over to speak in Robin's ear. "You wouldn't like me half as much if I were boring," he purred.

[goodfellow]

"Oh I don't know," Robin said, a little smile on his lips. "I might."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Doubtful," Nyx laughed. "I know what people like me for, Robin. I don't mind. It's who I am."

[goodfellow]

"I like you for a lot of things," Robin said, and kissed his cheek. "Do you like the drink?"

[tempting_the_fates]

Nyx grinned, then drank deep from the glass. "It's lovely," he purred. "You always have such good taste."

[goodfellow]

"I have exceptionally good taste," Robin said. "Taste in wine, taste in liquor, taste in music, taste in men..."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Mmm, that reminds me- How was dinner with my brother?" Nyx asked. "I can't imagine what you two would talk about."

[goodfellow]

Robin hesitated, not entirely sure how to answer but at the same time wanting to be honest with him. "Well, we've actually... been spending quite a lot of time together," he said. "We've been talking about taking a quick trip to Scotland. See the aspens."

[tempting_the_fates]

"...With Rain?" Nyx asked, looking baffled. "He almost never leaves his room, now he's planning a trip? And what do you mean, you've been spending a lot of time together? Doing what?"

Robin did look a bit awkward, as he recognized that it probably did seem... strange. "Oh, just... talking. Sleeping on the balcony." Okay yes. Strange.

[tempting_the_fates]

"You're sleeping with my brother?" Nyx asked, looking shocked. "I mean- I assume you mean actually sleeping, and not... Oh my gods, that is what you mean, right?"

Robin looked uncomfortable. "I have not had sex with Rain."

[tempting_the_fates]

Nyx seemed to relax at that. "So what's your interest in him then?"

[goodfellow]

"I like him," said Robin.

Then, after a pause: "Is Rain asexual?"

[tempting_the_fates]

"I don't know. Maybe? It's not something he likes to talk about. I've just never known him to seek sex out. It's sort of weird for our kin, but- I mean, Rain is pretty strange," Nyx said honestly.

Robin wouldn't have chosen that word, but he didn't think Nyx meant it negatively.

He also didn't think that it was just about sex (or not sex) that was surprising Nyx so much, but the fact that Rain was spending time with anyone at all. Which made Robin think of all the things Rain said about feeling comfortable with him, and how surprised he seemed.

"I just want to be careful," he said. Pause. "He likes me. And I take it that's... unusual."

[tempting_the_fates]

"I mean... I've never known him to take an interest in anyone," Nyx admitted. "Not since we were children. He had a few friends then, though they were our friends, if that makes sense."

[goodfellow]

"Well then it's very flattering," Robin said. "And look, I know you might be concerned about me hurting him, but... I haven't pushed him to do anything, and I won't. And he knows exactly who I am. What pucks are like."
