Robin had been elsewhere in the club when one of his employees mentioned that they'd spotting Nyx there, and Robin immediately went to find him.

Out on the dance floor, Robin slid an arm around his waist and leaned in close so he could be heard. "How nice to see you, darling."

"What's keeping you here this year then?" Nyx asked, taking the cigarette back.

"I don't know, I guess I'm relatively content here right now," Robin said. "Besides, I have some exceptionally expensive cashmere sweaters that deserve some wear."

"Fair enough. If I didn't have shows coming up, I'd think about going somewhere warm. ...I do love Christmas though," he admitted with a little grin.

"Yeah? What do you like about Christmas?" Robin asked, genuinely curious. "Do you have traditions?"

[tempting_the_fates]

"No, nothing like that. I just like the lights, and the glitter, and the sparkle of it all. Sort of reminds me of home. I decorate though, even if I just use magic to do it," Nyx beamed. "Oh, and all the blankets and things, I love buying blankets. I've got loads of them in different patterns and textures."

“Oh I also like a good blanket,” Robin said. “Sometimes I pay someone to decorate my flat, I like throwing holiday parties. Maybe I should just have you do it.”

"Could be nice," Nyx said. "You have to come see the flat when it's done up though."

[goodfellow]

“I’d like that,” said Robin. “Guess I haven’t seen your place have I?” When he and Nyx had been together it was at his flat and at the club.

"Have you not? You could come back tonight, if you like. Hex is out with his pack, and Will is... I don't actually know. Writing, I think," Nyx said thoughtfully.

"Would you like the company?" Robin asked. He wondered if Nyx got lonely when there was no one there.

[tempting_the_fates]

"I always want company," Nyx purred. "What kind of psycho wants to be alone with their thoughts, hmm?" he quipped with a grin.

"Besides, it'll be fun. We can get very drunk on very nice wine, and eat that cake the record company sent over- If there's any left. Between the pixie, the phouka, and the werewolf the fridge has a habit of emptying fast. I do have groceries delivered daily, but they go as quickly as they come."

Robin had to remind himself that he and Nyx were friends, and spending an evening together didn't necessarily mean sex. Though he was selfishly hoping that Nyx too was cognizant of the possibility of hurting his brother, and so he wouldn't have to worry about temptation.

"Sure," he said. "I really am hoping for the cake now though."

[tempting_the_fates]

"Me too, I didn't eat today," Nyx laughed. "If there's no cake, we'll order one, hmm? Me, you, cake in bed..." he purred.

Robin reached out and carded his fingers through Nyx's hair. "That sounds like bliss. Though... you and I in bed, specifically. Do you think it would upset your brother? Not that I - I just wonder if I should talk to him first."

Nyx pulled a face, then shrugged. "I have no idea, but it's not like you're his boyfriend. ...Right?" he asked.

[goodfellow]

Robin sighed, and pulled his hand away. "Well, until you just suggested otherwise, I assumed he knew I must be sleeping with other people. No, I certainly haven't made him any promises. And I wouldn't. I might be in the right, but that still doesn't mean I want to do something I know might hurt him. Regardless of how much I want that thing."

"...So that's a no?" Nyx asked, not really wanting to get too deep into his brother's affairs. If it were any other fae, he would have laughed it off, but honestly, he didn't know how Rain would react if he slept with Robin. He didn't think it would be a big deal, but he couldn't claim to know his brother so well anymore.

"Are you still interested in hanging out with me if we don't have sex?" Robin asked.

[tempting_the_fates]

"Sure," Nyx shrugged. "We can still eat cake."

[goodfellow]

"I'm glad to hear you don't just want me for my body," Robin teased.

And he also wanted Nyx to know the same was true for him. I know what people like me for stuck in his head from earlier. And though it may not have meant exactly what, whatever it did mean, Robin hoped that Nyx didn't think it was true of their friendship.

"Oh, well, that's not to say I don't love your body," Nyx purred, leaning in a little as though he might kiss him. "...But the rest of you is lovely too," he smiled.

Robin moved enough to meet that lean, and kissed him chastely. "We are both exceptionally lovely," he said. "Inside and out."

"Oh, I don't know. I think you'll find that deep down I'm terribly rotten and selfish," Nyx assured him.
