It was a brisk day, but Robin enjoyed walking on the beach. Barefoot, but still dressed in an impeccable suit. Once he'd found one, he hadn't found much else that was decent at all. And looking better made Robin feel better. And there was a lot to not feel great about right now.

He stopped walking, and his feet sank into the sand slightly. But he was distracted by the man walking out of the ocean. He was dressed in a skin tight wetsuit, and skin tight was a very good look on him.

He slipped one hand out of his pocket, and offered a wave.

"A somewhat more domestic scene than I was expecting," Robin said, looking amused. He looked over at Bond. "Who is Q?"

"The cottage was like this when we got here, though we've made a few improvements," Bond said. He poured a generous measure of a very good scotch into the cup for Robin and handed it over.

"Q is a colleague of mine, and Harry we knew from doing business with his firm. How we all three turned up here is a mystery," he continued, trying to make it all sound terribly bland. Even here it wouldn't do to let just anyone know what sort of business the three of them were actually in to.

"Ah, quite a full house then," said Robin, glad at least that it wasn't a girlfriend, or boyfriend. The cats could have been the tip of the domesticity iceberg.

He took the scotch and brought it up to his nose, then sighed happily.

"We make do. It's good to keep your friends close," Bond said, sipping his scotch. He was feeling a bit cramped, but desperate times, and all that. He could put his solitary nature to bed in favor of working together to find a way home.

"True," said Robin. "I do get easily... cramped, though."

One of the cats came over and rubbed against his leg, purring. Cats tended to like him; he was pretty sure they knew what he was. Recognized him as a superior being, he liked to think.

"Looks like you've made a friend," Bond said, nodding at the cat. "The tabby is the friendlier of the two, I've noticed. They only like me when I feed them."

"I'm just naturally magnetic," said Robin. "To creatures big and small." He winked.

Bond chuckled softly.

"Do you think so?" he asked.

[goodfellow]

"What, you don't agree? I suppose you should get to know me better. But as you can see, the cat has exceptionally good taste." Robin grinned.

"Well, if the cat thinks so..." Bond replied, a teasing sparkle in his blue eyes. "I think anyone who can appreciate good scotch is someone worth knowing."

And, to be fair, there weren't that many people here. It would do well to make sure they weren't enemies.

Robin sighed wistfully. "I have a nineteen sixty-seven Deanston single malt I'd been saving." Saving since 1967, actually.

"I don't suppose it followed you here," he replied.

[goodfellow]

"Tragically no," Robin said. "Why, would you do anything for an even better drink?"

"I have my limits," Bond chuckled.

"Though faced with something like that, I'm not certain where I'd draw the line. This one is nice, though," he said, nodding to his cup. "Definitely warms the soul."

[goodfellow]

"I don't," Robin said, and then winked. "Have limits, I mean."

"I'm sure that makes you a dangerous man to know," Bond replied evenly.

[goodfellow]

"Perhaps," Robin said. "Or fun. Depends on your point of view, I guess."

"Not many people consider the things I think of as fun, well, fun," Bond chuckled. Running for his life, gun play, explosions. Most people, people in their right mind, would be terrified.

[goodfellow]

"I'm not exactly mild mannered either," Robin said lightly.

"Oh? And what do you consider fun?" Bond asked. He had a guess.

[goodfellow]

"I like extremes," said Robin. "And anything I haven't done before. I bore easily."

"We have that in common," Bond said. "I like a good thrill."

[goodfellow]

"Aren't we fortunate," Robin said, "to have landed here together. I'd be awfully bored with no one around to have a thrill with."

"I'm sure we'll find something interesting to do. After the first couple days I was so terribly bored that I took up hunting. The rabbits in the kitchen refrigerator are my contribution."

"You have a gun here?" Robin asked curiously. "Or are we talking more old fashioned methods? I'd love a decent bow and arrow."
