It was a brisk day, but Robin enjoyed walking on the beach. Barefoot, but still dressed in an impeccable suit. Once he'd found one, he hadn't found much else that was decent at all. And looking better made Robin feel better. And there was a lot to not feel great about right now.

He stopped walking, and his feet sank into the sand slightly. But he was distracted by the man walking out of the ocean. He was dressed in a skin tight wetsuit, and skin tight was a very good look on him.

He slipped one hand out of his pocket, and offered a wave.

Bond had had the idea he might find some good sport in the ocean, maybe catch a fish or punch a shark...anything for a thrill. It was dreadfully dull here, yet there was the looming disquiet of why. Why were they here at all?

He emerged from the water so cold he was almost numb. The wetsuit did little to keep him warm. He saw the man wave and waved in return, trudging closer.

"Not exactly beach wear, but it's a good suit," he said.

"It took a few days of trial and error," Robin said. "I'm practically afraid to take it off."

Then he made a point to look Bond up and down. "I almost like yours better."

"It's quite nice, isn't it?" he replied, smoothing his hands up his chest. "Too bad it's occasion wear. It fits rather well."

"Like a glove," Robin said. "I'll have to get one for myself."

"If you get the same one we'll never be able to be on the same beach," Bond chuckled. "Such a fashion faux pas."

[goodfellow]

"That would be a shame," said Robin. He grinned. "I'm Robin. Fancy meeting you on a creepy deserted island."

"Bond. James Bond," he replied. "Would you like to go back to the dome with me? I'm dying to warm up."

[goodfellow]

"Love to," said Robin. "I take it from your calm demeanor that you've been here for a while as well?"

"More than a week now," he nodded. "Settling in, you know. Cottage, flatmates. All made much more tolerable by scavenged liquor and caviar."

Robin was about to start walking, but at that, he stopped and looked at Bond, his lips parting in surprise.

"Well you just became my new best friend."

"Always nice when someone is so easily won over," Bond grinned.

[goodfellow]

"I haven't had any decent liquor since I got here," Robin said. "I'd do pretty much anything for a good drink."

Bond arched a brow and smirked just a little. It was always so nice when people were upfront about how they could be leveraged.

"Would you like to join me for a glass?" he offered. "I just need to go to the dome and shower the salt out of my hair. Won't take a minute."

"Love to," said Robin. "Shall I meet you somewhere?"

Robin might be forward, but even he wasn't about to offer him company in the shower upon five minutes of meeting him.

"I'll meet you in the kitchen. Maybe you could round up something to go with drinks. I have caviar and pate and table crackers, but perhaps something to make a tidy tea time," he grinned.

It really wasn't far between that particular point on the shore to the dome. Bond beckoned Rob to come with him as he headed inland.

"Where do you come from?" he asked as they walked.

"You might say I'm a world traveler," Robin said lightly. "But London, most recently."

"One could say the same of me," Bond said. "Seems we might have a bit in common."

[goodfellow]

"We are also," Robin said, as they walked, "both terribly handsome."

"I can't deny that," Bond chuckled warmly. "I've been all over the world. Where do you fancy is your favorite place? Outside of London?"

[goodfellow]

"The beaches of Greece," said Robin after a moment. "You?"

"I do like Southeast Asia. Singapore, mostly," he said. "Beautiful, and the food is incredible."

[goodfellow]

"Ah, yes," said Robin in flawless Mandarin. "Delicious food, beautiful views, beautiful people."

"Quite so," Bond smiled. "You speak Mandarin. How delightful."

[goodfellow]

It was on the tip of Robin's tongue to say, I speak everything, but stopped himself just in time.

Instead, he just grinned and said, "As do you. I do enjoy a man with a knowledgable tongue."

"The most knowledgeable tongue," he replied, laden with innuendo. "It helps to be able to speak the language wherever I might go."
