Prometheus

When Robin called Prometheus, his words were a little slurred. "Hey baby," he managed. "Can you come to the club? I've lost a lot of blood and I need someone to stay with me and make sure I don't die."

"I live a very different life, petal. I have my shop, my books, my art, and you. I need little more," Prometheus said, stroking the puck's hair.

Robin groaned and closed his eyes. "How is it possible that you don't resent me?"

"Love, petal. I love you," Promethus said softly. "I could never resent you."

Robin suddenly thought of Fin, of all things. Well, Fin and Hex.

"You never... you never feel like you need me to yourself?"

"You'd get bored and things would sour," Prometheus said. "And I've never minded sharing. Life is so very long for us, to be alone together wouldn't be ideal."

"But what about you?" Robin twisted a little so that he could look up at him. "Are you...?"

Because now he was thinking of how he'd judged Fin for suggesting that he wanted to sleep with other people but felt uncomfortable with Hex doing so.

"For now, pet, I am content," Prometheus assured him softly. "Should that change, I assure you I'll let you know."

Robin lowered his head again, and closed his eyes. "I'd do anything for you," he said softly.

Prometheus kissed the top of the puck's head.

"And I you, dove," he promised.

"There's really nothing you need from me?" Robin asked, suddenly almost pleading. "Nothing at all?" He just wanted to feel like he was doing something right for Prometheus. And not just... calling him to pick up the pieces because he'd fucked up, or fucked someone.

"Is it truly so hard to believe that you are enough?" Prometheus asked. "Having you in my life brings me joy. I need nothing more from you, pet."

"I mean... I know I'm pretty great..." Robin began, "but like, as someone to fuck, someone to party with, someone to bring along in a fight or a heist. Not as... you know."

"You are talented and witty, beautiful and clever. You have been the company I favour most for many lifetimes now, Robin. I love you, as you are, because of who you are," the titan replied softly.

Fucking hell.

Robin couldn't help himself anymore. He scrambled up and climbed onto Prometheus lap. In the second that he looked at him before he kissed him, it was obvious his eyes were wet.

Prometheus returned the kiss, stroking Robin's hair, then back.

"Oh dove," he said gently. "It's alright. You're alright. You're here, and loved, and very safe."

Remus kept kissing him for a minute, and then said, "I'm not scared, I just... believe you."

Prometheus nodded a little, stroking Robin's hair again.

"We'll eat here, then I'll take you home," he decided.

Robin wanted to jump him, or whatever the romantic, love-filled version of jumping him was. But Prometheus was right; there was a decent chance he'd pass out if he didn't get some food in him.

So he nodded. "Okay."

Smiling, the titan stroked the puck's cheek with his knuckles.

"Come here, let me drink from your lips again before I go see if our meal has arrived," he coaxed softly.

Robin leaned in and kissed him, deep, making a soft sound of contentment.

Prometheus le the kiss linger, before finally pulling away and gently tapping Robin on his backside.

"Rest, I'll be back shortly with our dinner," he promised, getting up and heading to the front. He knew the staff here well, and knew exactly who to speak with. It wasn't long until he'd returned with a bag of piping hot chinese takeaway.

"Here we are pet, let me sort you a plate," he said.

Robin had taken the opportunity to go into the bathroom and splash water on his face, and then put his shirt and shoes back on.

He sat back on the couch and smiled at Prometheus. "You should't be so nice to me when I do stupid things," he said. "How will I learn?"

"I fear if you were going to learn you'd have done so centuries ago," the titan tutted, though his tone was light.

Filling a plate, he passed it over before filling his own.

"Besides, I'm too old to be bothered with teaching. I'm well past retirement, don't you think?"

"That's why I gave up on virgins," Robin quipped, and took a bite.

"Gave up or got bored?" the titan countered mildly, sitting down and starting to eat. "Not to be a nag, petal, but you do seem to be lacking direction of late. Perhaps you need a project."
