Prometheus

When Robin called Prometheus, his words were a little slurred. "Hey baby," he managed. "Can you come to the club? I've lost a lot of blood and I need someone to stay with me and make sure I don't die."

Prometheus listened closely, wondering if the puck was alone or still in danger. After a beat he finally spoke. "I'll be there shortly. Do try not to die, petal," he added, hanging up and reaching for his coat.

It wasn't far and the titan was there in no time, swanning past the bouncers and into the club and to the back office.

"Would have been better if you'd called an ambulance, I've not been a doctor in a very long time, dove," he noted, shrugging off his coat and rolling his sleeves up.

Robin was lying on the couch, shirtless. There was no blood in sight. But when he heard Prometheus, he opened his eyes and tilted his head, revealing two puncture marks on his neck. "Hard to explain the injury."

The titan sighed, then walked over to the bar and started searching through the mixers until he found some juice.

"Sit up a bit," he said as he poured a glass and brought it over. "Drink, you need the sugar."

Looking a little sheepish, Robin sat up and took it. "I didn't mean to worry you. I'm okay, I just... my head was a little fuzzy for a while there."

"Are you?" the titan asked, sitting beside him. "Allowing oneself to be nearly drained dry isn't something I'd label as okay, personally."

"Allow might be a strong word," Robin muttered, sipping from the glass.

He was still kind of high, too, and he leaned against Prometheus.

"Tell me what happened, petal," the titan said, stroking his hair.

Robin sighed. "I got in over my head. I thought I was seducing her, turns out she was hunting me. Pretty sure she thought I was dead when she left."

After his encounter the week before with a vampire, the first time in a while, he'd remembered how great it was and thought he'd try again. Turns out that even that half-feral vampire had more of a sense of propriety than the one he'd found tonight.

"Stupid," the titan scolded mildly.

It was clear that Robin's pride was wounded. "I'm losing my touch," he muttered.

"You're lucky that's all you lost tonight," Prometheus said. "You know it's foolish to toy with bloodsuckers."

Robin was feeling mostly fine now... physically.

"I don't need a lecture." He looked away. "I'm sorry if you were worried."

[pecked_by_birds]

"I think you need more than a lecture," the titan assured him. "But alright, I'll let it be. You should eat though. Why don't I order us dinner?"

[goodfellow]

Robin ignored him, and kissed his neck instead, hand sliding onto his thigh.

"You can't possibly have enough blood left in you for that," the titan said, though he didn't stop him. Robin wasn't a child, if he didn't want to be cared for, Prometheus wouldn't push.

"I told you, I'm feeling better," Robin murmured. "Don't you want me?"

And there it was. Don't you want me. Robin's sliver of insecurity laid bare, because of one stupid vampire who had played him.

Prometheus turned slightly, catching Robin's jaw with one hand and holding the puck's gaze.

"Always and forever, petal. ...Which is why I'm attempting to take care of you. I'd like very much to have you forever, not one more night."

Leaning in, he kissed the puck softly.

"Let me order us dinner," he requested softly.

When the kiss broke, Robin looked down again. "All right, yes, get dinner."

"Thank you," the titan said softly, pressing another kiss to the puck's forehead. "Finish your juice, love."

Getting to his feet he pulled out his mobile and put in an order, unbuttoning the top few buttons of his shirt as he wandered to the window. It looked as though he was simply admiring the city, but in truth he was looking for signs of Robin's attacker.

Robin drank the juice, feeling like a dumbass. And he really didn't like this feeling. "What are you looking at?"

"I'm just making sure no one's lurking," the titan admitted, glancing back at the puck.

"You think she'll come back wanting more?" Robin said with a grumpy snort.

[pecked_by_birds]

"She might intend to turn you," the titan replied, looking back out the window. "As dashing a vampire as you might make, I do prefer you as you are, dove."

[goodfellow]

Robin blinked. That hadn't even occurred to him. "Why on earth would she have wanted to do that?"

"I'm not privy to the whims of strangers. It's just a thought. ...A worry," Prometheus frowned.
