Fin
Robin rang the new year in in style - surrounded by hundreds of people who thought he (or at least his club) was awesome. He kissed probably a dozen people, drank an entire bottle of champagne, and only stopped dancing when people began to leave.
Though the club would be open until 3am, Robin stole away about 1:30 and went back to the bedroom where he'd left Fin. He'd brought another bottle of champagne, but when he saw that Fin was asleep, he just set it on the dresser. He looked at him for a moment, and then he pulled off the toga and climbed into the bed beside him wearing only the gold thong, curling up next to him with his face to the back of Fin's neck.

"Will is here now, it's a party. You like parties," he informed the puck. "...You see I am drunk, and Robin is sad," he told Will- As though that explained anything.

He sat up abruptly, and looked at Fin. "Seriously? Seriously?"

"You are very drunk, evermore," he said.

"Robin is lonely, so we're going to keep him company. Two princes, Rob, two princes to keep you company on the first day of the new year! That's got to be good luck or something."
no subject
"Fin... I told you to go to him if you wanted to be with him, not for you to bring him here."

Willy looked at them both and then returned to his guitar. His face was cold- he'd been busking at the Eye before he'd been summoned.
He began to pick out a Fleetwood Mac tune.
"You do not surprise me, puck," he chuckled.

And to Fin: "I'm fine. It's a sweet gesture, however misguided. You should go. Celebrate. Be desperately in love for the first day of the rest of eternity or whatever."
He climbed out of the bed and walked over to the dresser, picked up the bottle of champagne and took a swig himself.

Willy played the first bit of Dreams, but before he was set to sing he stopped and looked at Robin.
"Why would I lecture you?" he asked. The puck was as all pucks were. To lecture him against his nature was folly.
He began to play again, looking at Fin.
So here you go again, you say, you want your freedom. Well who am I to keep you down?...

"Go," he snapped to both of them. "Or actually... stay if you want. I'm going." He took another chug from the champagne bottle, and then pulled the toga back on. "You're right, there's no reason for me to be alone." The club hadn't emptied out yet; he'd find someone to fuck for a few hours within five minutes.

Willy stopped playing and laid his hand on the strings to still them. He watched Rob, then looked at Fin.
"No lectures," he said, then got comfortable to try a new song since Fleetwood Mac didn't please them.
Let me bring you songs from the wood, to make you feel much better than you could know...

He so badly wanted someone in his life to get on with him and Will both. So badly wanted Robin to feel like he had people who understood him too. ...Yes, he was drunk, and yes, when he sobered he'd realize this was not the best way to try and shove the pair together, but- Well, he wasn't, and in his current state, it all made sense to him.
He looked over at Will, as though hoping the other fae knew the right thing to say or do.

"Fin, do you remember when you found panties on the floor of my office and were upset because you didn't feel special? Well imagine how you'd feel if I had summoned the owner of said panties into the room without your permission and then suggested we roast marshmallows and sing camp songs together."

Willy was content to let them talk on. He had his guitar and now that he was somewhere warm he felt good. He kept picking the tune, watching his guitar while Fin and Robin discussed whatever it was about panties. He knew he was not welcome and could easily leave, but if Fin had summoned him he must have wanted him here.

He'd thought he was helping. ...Now he wasn't sure.
"I love you, I don't want you to be sad. I'm not using you as a substitute for Will anymore than I'd use Will as a substitute for you. I love you both, same, but different. ...Equal but different? One of those things. ...I wasn't trying to hurt anyone, is what I mean. I just thought- If there were more people, you'd feel more loved. Or at least less alone."
He felt a bit overwhelmed- Or maybe he'd just had too much to drink. Either way, he flopped onto his side and returned to his fox form.
People couldn't stay upset with him when he was a fox, right? You couldn't be mad at something fluffy.

"You were the one who was sad," he pointed out. "You're the one afraid of being alone. And now Will is here, and you're not."
He looked over at Will. "Stay here if you like," he said. "I'm going home." And before either of them could respond, he headed out, leaving the rest of the champagne behind.
This felt like a reminder of exactly why he was probably better off with a string of one night stands instead of these kinds of complications. God he hoped he didn't run into Anael on his way out; the last thing he needed was him to get a whiff of this.

Willy watched him go and sighed. He took off his guitar and patted his lap for Fin to climb up.
"You should not be sad on the new year," he said.

Drunk fox. Bad fox.
He whined again, then nuzzled at Will.

Willy worked his fingers into Fin's fur at the scruff of his neck and around his ears.
"God to sleep, my love. Robin is so kind to have offered his bed. Sleep."

We could go home, share our bed, Fin said, pawing lightly at Will. When I sober up, we can spend the day together, he added, yawning a little and then putting his paws on Will's chest to lick his nose. He was a bit less graceful than usual, but he managed.

"We can go home," he said with a nod. He gathered Fin close and grabbed his guitar. "We will not bother with a taxi, I think."
The magic it took to transport across distance drained him, but tonight it was for the best. Magic shivered around them and suddenly they were sitting not on Ron's bed but rather their own in their flat.
"And now...Sleep, little fox."
