Robin hadn't expected the knife to hit her, and in fact, it had precisely the effect he'd hoped. When she was gone, he walked over and picked up the knife, and then finally, turned back to Thomas.

"Anything you want to tell me?"

Robin didn't look up. And when he spoke, it was mumbled.

Thomas stopped at that, looking over at Robin with a surprised expression. Then he pulled on his shirt and came over to the bed, looking at Robin's back before he knelt on the edge and leaned down to press a soft kiss to Robin's jaw. "I will," he murmured.

Robin tensed at first, but then immediately relaxed, and gave an imperceptible nod.

He wasn't even sure why he was in bed, it was maybe three in the afternoon. But suddenly he felt weary, and a nap would keep him from thinking about whatever it was Thomas was off doing because of him.

Thomas pulled away and strode quickly from the room without looking back. He waited until he was outside of Robin's door before he pulled the snowflake medallion out from beneath his shirt, disappearing as he wrapped his fingers around it and whispered Lea's name.

He returned about four hours later looking none the worse for wear, and knocked at Robin's door.
