Thomas froze, then lunged toward Robin. "Give me that!" he shouted, snatching the scarf from Robin's hands, then immediately dropping it with a hiss of pain, red welts rising on his hands wherever the scarf had touched. He swore and pressed his lips together, looking at the scarf on the floor with a dismayed expression.
